Description
Experience the legendary canals, ancient walled cities, spectacular ruins, mesmerizing sunsets and other icons of the Mediterranean as you cruise from Venice to Rome via the western coast of the Adriatic Sea.

Three miles off the northeast coast of mainland Italy rests Venice, one of the world's most enchanting and romantic cities. Known as the Queen of the Adriatic, it is comprised of more than 100 islands and is linked by a string of 400 intricate bridges. You'll spend two nights in Venice, with plenty of time to explore this delightful city of canals.

Dubrovnik, Croatia is one of the Mediterranean's most spectacular cities. Green landscapes, white cliffs and azure depths of the sea meet one of the best-preserved Medieval fortified towns of the Mediterranean area. Fantastic views of the city and the sea are unforgettable. Stroll through history as you walk the streets of Kotor, Montenegro, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town rises above the blue waters of the Adriatic, forming an impressive view of the Old City, protected by the fortified walls built by the Venetians in the 15th century.

No cruise in the Mediterranean is complete without a stop in a Greek port. The island of Corfu is uniquely different from other Grecian cities due to the Venetian nobility who ruled and lived there. The interior is covered with lush cypress and olive trees while the downtown area has elegant Venetian architecture and a serene atmosphere. Corfu's history is bound with the history of Greece from the beginning of Greek mythology, and was later controlled by Venice and eventually by Great Britain, not joining modern Greece until 1864.

The last three ports of this incredible cruise are in southern Italy. Taormina, a little town on the island of Sicily embodies the essence of Sicily with its beauty of light, color and sea. Sorrento is the gateway to the Amalfi coast and other highlights of southwestern coastal Italy. The last stop on your Mediterranean cruise is Civitavecchia, the ancient port founded by Emperor Trajan in the 2nd century. It is noted for its fine seafood and attractive monuments.
