Harlan Bakeries - Edmonton produces pie and tart shell dough products and was established in 1978. It was acquired by Harlan Bakeries on May 25, 2011. We strive to deliver maximum performance in quality, cost and service in an environment that promotes diversity and inclusion. Our state of the art plant stresses safety for our employees and food safety for our customers.

The Edmonton plant is exclusively dedicated to making pie shell, pie top and tart shell dough products and has become an industry leader in R&D and production. Only the finest ingredients are used to produce a light, mouthwatering taste of homemade pastry. All products are made with a unique vegetable oil base versus an animal fat base (lard). Secure packaging helps to ensure the product is delivered without damages. You can count on receiving the same quality product day in and day out. Various formats and formulations are available in sizes ranging from 2" to 10".

Unsweetened dough can be used for both sweet and savory applications. From fruit pies to quiche to meat pies, there are endless recipes that can be created with just one pie or tart shell sku. Sweet dough makes your individual fruit pies, cream pies, butter tarts, etc. that much more delectable.

Zero Trans-fat, reduced trans-fat and low sodium options are available. Products are sold primarily in bulk, but retail packs are available on limited sizes. We sell to Foodservice, Wholesale and Retail markets across Canada. We have the capability of producing custom products. As market leaders keeping up with regulatory and consumer trends is our focus. The plant is Kosher certified by the COR - Kashruth Council of Canada.

It is the policy of Harlan Bakeries to develop, produce and market food products which are safe, properly labeled and manufactured, stored and distributed using sanitary practices. This policy applies to all operations, employees and products, including those produced, stored, handled or packaged under contractual arrangements. We continuously improve the standard for quality and food safety. We achieved this by maintaining a HACCP and total quality management system SQF 2000 Level II which is independently audited by an international auditing agency.
